We love supporting small business here at Mashfeed, and one of the pinnacle of small business is independent bookstores. These stores are in it for the love of books and you can see that in their feeds.

From the plains of Iowa to the streets of Brooklyn, here are 10 Independent bookstores you need to follow on Instagram!

Strand Book Store

Located in New York City and founded in 1927, Strand Book Store is certainly one of the oldest bookstores on this list. It boasts an impressive 18 miles of books that are on full display on their Instagram page. Beautiful pictures of their books and vinyls are mixed in with signings with authors.

Community Bookstore

Located in Park Slop, Brooklyn since 1971, Community Bookstore is truly a community bookstore, and that is clear in their Instagram page. Their feed focuses on the people (and cat) that work and go to the store. They also show off their best sellers each week to give you some ideas for your next read. Plus, you get to see their cute cat Tiny the Usurpur.

Donlon Books

The London bookstore Donlon books doubles (and triples and quadruples) as an art, photography, music gallery, that also specializes in counterculture. Their feed is gorgeously put together with pictures of the work on display and, of course, the books.

Another bookstore that puts care to include the people that make the store possible on display as well as the books. They feature their employees, customers (dogs and babies, alike) and much, much more. This Iowa City bookstore is just as impressive as those in the big cities.
