Sweet Chicks

If you’ve never had chicken and waffles, then you haven’t done brunch right. If you haven’t had Sweet Chicks’ chicken and waffles, then you really haven’t done brunch right. Located right in the middle of the action on Bedford, Sweet Chicks is an intimate, but lively restaurant where you can properly brunch, Bloody Mary and all.

Marlow & Sons

Marlow & Sons is just as much about atmosphere as it is about food. The restaurant, which has a bar in the back transports you back in time. Classic American food with a bit of seafood finish off this great restaurant in South Williamsburg, definitely a place you should check out.

Brooklyn Star

If you’re looking for good old American classics, then Brooklyn Star is the place for you. Right on Lorimer, the restaurant serves up pancakes and eggs, beautifully cooked steaks with crunchy onions on top, and the most delicious burgers. It’s just a little slice of the south up in the north.

Zenkichi

If Japanese is more your speed, then try out Zenkichi. Not only do they serve some incredible sushi and traditional Japanese classics. The atmosphere does just as much as the food with a zen garden and even a house of mirrors. Their private booths provide the perfect intimate atmosphere.
